The book focuses on basic elements of condensation and vaporization
processes. The basic physical mechanisms associated with a particular
phase-change phenomenon are described in detail, followed by a
representative sample of the best models applicable to the circumstances
of interest. Throughout the text, the importance of the basic phenomena
to a wide variety of applications is discussed.
My first impression of the book was that it would be a difficult
reading.Nonetheless, after a few minutes brawsing the chapters it came
evident that the book was very well written and organized. As an
engineer, working in the aerospece industry, I definitely would
recommend this book as a valuable resource. I would also encourage that
in the next editions the authors provide more examples covering more
variations of the discussed topics beyond those already provided. The
book is a 5 star for sure and is also a reference in the field. Don't
miss it.
There are very few books written exclusively focussing on Two Phase
flow, and this is one of the very good books on that subject. It caters
the interest of Mechanical engineers in large and also Chemical enginee.
